Here at lolo mag we are pretty crazy for hats – fedoras, floppy hats, Panama hats, and boater hats- we love them all! Lauren is loving this one from rag & bone for spring + summer and my heart is totally with this one. Anthropologie also has great choices, as well as Madewell. Below we have rounded up 10 of the best, but there are even more options in the slideshow at the bottom of the post.
Curating a denim collection is an important part of building a wardrobe that you love! However, it can be a daunting task and one that most people don’t love. I can’t say that standing in a dressing room and trying on a million and one pair of jeans is my definition of fun. What is fun though is finally finding jeans that work for you and make you feel great. A few tips for denim shopping-
Trial and Error- Try and try again. You might buy a pair of jeans, think that they work, and then realize that they don’t. That is totally normal and part of the process. It will help you make a better decision next time- don’t beat yourself up about it- just donate, consign, or give them to a friend. If they don’t fit you well and don’t make you feel amazing, it makes no sense to keep them!
Keep your beautiful chin up! You are a gorgeous soul, inside and out, and no pair of jeans shall tell you otherwise! Jean fitting can be so frustrating, but don’t let it get to you. If they don’t fit, they are out. You will soon find a pair that you LOVE that loves you and your body right back! And that is a perfect match.
Stick with what works. After a few years of trial and error, I have found that Joe’s jeans, Paige denim, Express, Loft, and rag & bone pants work for my body. Therefore, I will only buy my jeans from those brands! Once you find brands that work for you, the hard part is over. When it comes time to add a pair to your collection, you now know what brands/stores to visit. That makes the shopping process that much easier.

Words cannot explain how easy this chocolate bark is to make! I am not a baker whatsoever, so the fact that I made this is saying something. I love to cook, but baking is just not my thing. However, Hamilton loves dark chocolate so I whipped this up for a Valentine’s Day treat. I was inspired by this recipe from A Cup of Jo, but made my own version. Below are the ingredients + steps! xo Melis
Ingredients (from Whole Foods)
1 bag of dark chocolate chunks
Organic shredded Coconut flakes
Melt the chocolate chunks over medium heat in a small pot
Once melted, stir in a handful or two (up to you!) of the slivered almonds
Line baking sheet with wax paper
Gently pour chocolate and almond mix on lined baking sheet in a thin layer
Sprinkle coconut (as much/little as you want) and a few more almonds on top
Lightly place wax paper on top (don’t have it touch the chocolate- just cover)
Put in fridge until hard and solid- about 30-45 minutes should do
Take it out and break into pieces- the size is up to you!
Enjoy some now and store the rest in a container with lid or wrap in plastic wrap
