Dark Chocolate Bark
Words cannot explain how easy this chocolate bark is to make! I am not a baker whatsoever, so the fact that I made this is saying something. I love to cook, but baking is just not my thing. However, Hamilton loves dark chocolate so I whipped this up for a Valentine's Day treat. I was inspired by this recipe from A Cup of Jo, but made my own version. Below are the ingredients + steps! xo MelisIngredients (from Whole Foods)
- 1 bag of dark chocolate chunks
- Organic shredded Coconut flakes
- Slivered Almonds
Steps
- Melt the chocolate chunks over medium heat in a small pot
- Once melted, stir in a handful or two (up to you!) of the slivered almonds
- Line baking sheet with wax paper
- Gently pour chocolate and almond mix on lined baking sheet in a thin layer
- Sprinkle coconut (as much/little as you want) and a few more almonds on top
- Lightly place wax paper on top (don't have it touch the chocolate- just cover)
- Put in fridge until hard and solid- about 30-45 minutes should do
- Take it out and break into pieces- the size is up to you!
- Enjoy some now and store the rest in a container with lid or wrap in plastic wrap
