monday mindset
What if we saw each Monday as an opportunity to bring the sweetness of the weekend into the new week? What if we looked forward to Monday and got excited about the opportunities, blessings, and challenges that were going to unfold? Today we are officially inviting you to join our journey of loving Mondays. Who's in? The idea of loving on Mondays, getting excited about them, and having thankful hearts about the day is so much more appealing to us than the typical feeling of dreading Monday and just getting through it. Together, let's get out of survival mode when it comes to Mondays and get into celebrating mode. New day, new week, new possibilities! Now, that is not to say that coffee won't be in hand or Sunday nights won't be bittersweet in some ways, but there is a way to wake up on Monday morning with a mindset that it's literally the best day ever. We are so ready to make that way a reality. Below are four lifestyle habits that we are passionate about bringing into our lives and mindsets. Starting today let's make Monday a day we love, enjoy, and look forward to each and every week.one. resist the urge to fall in the habit of rushing- there is a quote in Judah Smith's book Jesus Is that describes the habit of falling back into the craziness of the Monday grind after a day of peace and rest on Sunday. When you start to think about it, it really makes no sense. Of course Mondays for most mean work and Sundays do not, but there is definitely a way to carry over that peace from Sunday into Monday. I have a feeling that doing so will actually result in more productivity and more success stories than falling into the rushing, frantic, gotta-get-it done trap.two. pray over the weekend for a peaceful and productive monday- I want to start praying to the Lord each Sunday (several times throughout the day) to give me His strength, joy, and love for the start of a new work week. It's such a blessing and gift to have another day and I want to start intentionally inviting Him into my Monday each week. Just thinking about this new habit gets me excited! Everything with Him is better, so I can hardly wait to see how awesome Mondays are going to be once He is intentionally invited in on the fun.three. reflect, rejoice, and give thanks for the weekend- taking a little bit of time Sunday evening to reflect on the weekend is a key way to help prepare for a positive mindset on Monday. Rejoice in the good memories and pray over any difficult moments that might have come up over the weekend.four. smile a lot - it's amazing how a smile can truly make you happier, as well as those that you are around. Wake up with a smile, drive with a smile, walk into a work with a smile, and just see the magic of your smile unfold.
