Fall Skincare Routine
As the weather is changing for some of us and we're settling into our fall routines–I thought I'd share with you one of the staples I've found that lasts me through any season, my fall skincare routine. No matter what season I'm in, I've always struggled with clogged pores and dry skin, even despite how diligent I am about taking care of my skin–but recently I feel like I have finally come to a product routine that has improved that drastically.I also want to add that before quarantine I was regularly getting facials to help me find a good medium with my skin, but since quarantine, I wasn't able to get a facial in seven or so months. Recently I just went back to my facialist who knows my skin so well, and she said that my skin is looking better than it ever has–I seriously owe it to these products and routine.Skin can be such an important topic for all of us, though we don't always talk about it–having clean and clear skin really can attribute to your confidence! I know that some of my issues can be issues that we all experience, especially in the fall season, so I'm excited to share with you and hope this helps!My Morning Routine

10 Safe Beauty Products
We are so passionate about using skincare and makeup products that are free of harsh chemicals like sulfates and parabens. Those toxic ingredients do not belong anywhere near our skin and faces! Clean Skin Care: Goop.
Goop is my hero. A few months ago after much research, I felt the need to rid our home of all toxic products, everything from skin care to cleaning solutions. It was a tough move to throw out slightly used products that are said to be ultra-productive, but after I trashed all of the paraben and sulfate-filled items, it was the best feeling in the world.
I know that pure-ingredient filled skincare has a bad reputation - it's not effective, it clogs pores, it doesn't smell good, and the list goes on. Goop proves these statements completely wrong. The Luminous Melting Cleanser and Exfoliating Instant Facial are my new secret to glowing skin. To top it off, I conclude that in-shower treatment with the Enriching Face Oil and the Revitalizing Day Moisturizer. These products have made me excited to take care of my skin! make-up routine
I've gotten a few questions recently regarding what foundation/skin make-up I use, so I decided to give you a little step-by-step of my foundation routine! The products I'm sharing with you today have been my go-to foundation products for quite some time now, because I'm obsessed with them and don't even want to try anything else!
- Japonesque primer: It wasn't until a year or two ago when I started using primer. I'd tried out several and couldn't really tell a difference. I love this one from Japonesque because I can tell a huge difference when I wear it. It makes my skin feel so much smoother and really helps my foundation stay on longer!
- Laura Mercier concealer (not pictured): if you've been following me for a while, you know, if there was one make-up product I could not live without, it's concealer. I'm somewhat cursed with dark circles under my eyes (like, always), so this concealer for me is a must. The coverage is amazing and it stays on forever.
- Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer: if there was one make-up that I'd say changed my life, it would be this one. I first tried this moisturizer out when I started working at Neiman's in 2013 because I'd heard such great things, and it's been my go-to foundation ever since. The coverage is surprisingly amazing, but it's still lightweight enough to just put on if you're going to the beach or pool (and it has SPF in it!). It lasts pretty much all day on me, and doesn't make your face shiny like a lot of moisturizers do.
- Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Bronzer: Bronzer is a must for me, and if I ever accidentally leave the house without it, I feel naked. I love this bronzer because I like my bronzer to actually show up, but not look too fake. This one looks natural, yet still gives you a really nice sunkissed look.
- Bare Minerals blush balm: this blush is a more recent addition to my make-up routine. I put just a touch on the very apple of my cheek bones for a nice little pop of color (yet, still subtle).
- Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc: I finish all of this off with my favorite blush in the world. I sweep this shimmer bloc across my cheekbones, really highlighting the top of my cheeks. This shimmer bloc is the perfect color pink and has just enough shimmer to give you a glowing effect, without being too over the top.

kate somerville: my game-changer
There are some things in life that are worth the investment, ie: a house, a good pair of jeans, and great skincare products. I feel like I've spent the majority of my life searching for skincare products that work for me. I tried everything from Proactiv, to stuff you can get at the drugstore, to dermatologist-perscribed medication. She said once she tried these products, she's never felt the need to try anything else, and that has been my experience exactly. Well, that was not the case for me.I noticed right away that Kate Somerville products did wonders for clearing my breakouts and giving me an even skin tone. (If you are prone to breakouts, I highly recommend the Exfolikate, EradiKate treatment and EradiKate mask.)No matter what your skin type is, I also highly recommend the detox daily cleanser & moisturizer. These should be staples in every skincare routine. This moisturizer is amazing because it doesn't just provide hydration, it also helps prevent excess oil production commonly associated with oily and acne-prone skin. It also helps to firm and tighten the appearance of skin, while minimizing the look of wrinkles.Which brings me to my next point! I chose Kate Somerville products not only because they did wonders for clearing breakouts, but because the anti-aging effects are life-changing! Seriously. I know my skin will thank me for using these products in 10, 20, 30 years! And they're clearly less expensive than paying for Botox or any medical procedure to get rid of wrinkles down the road. The RetAsphere Micro Peel infuses skin with pure Retinol to help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and speeds up cell renewal. It also helps remove dead skin on the skin's surface to improve the appearance of pores, and softens and evens out your skin tone. It's formulated to deliver clinic-level results overnight without irritation! I've only used this product for a week or so and can already tell a huge difference in my skin tone. (Use this product every other night)If you're used to buying your face wash from the grocery store, these products might seem on the pricy said.
