OUR STAPLE// SALAD RECIPE

 
 

INGREDIENTS

for the dressing// olive oil, lemon juice, pink salt and pepper

for the salad// red lettuce or local lettuce, massaged kale, roasted golden or red beets, organic chives, organic herbs - mint, basil, cilantro, and saurerkraut

DIRECTIONS

salad//

1. preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. wash and remove beet leaves.

3. wrap beets in reusable wax wrap.

4. bake in oven for approximately 1 hour based on the size of the beet.

5. wash and tear lettuce.

6. wash and tear off kale from the spine.

7. place kale in a separate bowl.

8. squeeze half of a lemon onto kale.

9. sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon pink salt on top of kale.

10. pour a generous amount of olive oil on top of kale.

11. chop up chives.

12. add washed mint, basil, and cilantro.

13. add all to one bowl and put a spoonful of sauerkraut on top.

dressing//

1. in a separate measuring glass, fill it a fourth with olive oil.

2. add lemon juice where it looks like half lemon juice and half olive oil.

3. add pink salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.

4. you can add fresh garlic if desired.
