Parachute Home: Impeccable Bedding
You guys probably have gathered throughout this Making A Home series here on the blog that I have a slight addiction to clean bedding that is sustainable and socially responsible. I mean, what is not to love? It is such a reminder that there is not a lack of incredibly comfy and soft materials that are health-benefiting and earth-conscious.Parachute is a key brand that has made our home extra cozy + it delivers the perfect neutral accents. If you have tried this brand, you probably are a lifer. We fell into that category pretty quickly and fell in love with the quality of their premium sheets, towels, robes, slippers and all things soft and wonderful.Did you know that Madewell and Parachute made the most beautiful striped bedding and jammies? I had to make a quick mention of that because it was like a brand-partnering dream.Through the recommendation of Ashley Kane, we also got the down mattress topper, and our bed truly feels like a cloud. Our other staples we have in our home are the body pillow with the vintage linen cover, the quilts (a dream), and their bedding. The Beauty of Community
When you think of community, what do you think of? The idea of community has been on our minds a lot lately, specifically the beauty of community and how people loving, supporting, and caring for one another is instrumental and irreplaceable in all of our journeys.
What is so cool about community is that it comes in all different shapes and sizes! Whether it is your closest girlfriends, your family, colleagues at work, people in your Church, couples that you are close with, or anyone else in your life, it is so healthy and rewarding to have people that you are able to be open and transparent with and really connect with on a soul level.
Inviting people into your lives and sharing your lives with people is the Lord's vision for us as as believers-there is nothing that makes Him happier than to see brothers & sisters joining together and collaborating through life together, in His glory. Romans 15:5-7 May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory (NLT). 
Another beautiful thing about community is when community grows- when you meet more people, when you share your story, your light, and your faith with others, you are willing and available to receive other's stories, light, and faith. dresses that twirl
Maybe I am secretly still a 5 year old little girl, but I am such a sucker for dresses that "twirl". How perfect is this little blush off the shoulder dress for spring and summer weddings (bonus: it's less than $50!)? I love how feminine and romantic it is, yet so comfortable! I also love that you could easily pair it with flat sandals for a casual daywear look.

jumpsuit obsession
I'll be the first to admit, it took me a while to jump on the jumpsuit train. Now that I have though, I've gotten slightly addicted. I feel like rompers/jumpsuits are so easy - you don't have to think about what shorts to pair with it, what top...it's already done the work for you! This one I'm sharing with you today is literally the most comfortable thing you will ever put on! It's like wearing pajamas, except socially acceptable to wear in public places.
Funny story behind this jumpsuit: Lauren (Scruggs) came to Dallas a few weeks ago and we got to have breakfast together. She was wearing this jumpsuit at breakfast and I knew right away I needed it! It really is so perfect for traveling - one of those things you can throw in your suitcase and your outfit is complete.

easy chic
I think the word "chic" can be slightly overwhelming and intimidating. We think "chic" means a pair of Jimmy Choo stilettos or a bold red lip color. One of my favorite styles right now though is what I like to call "easy chic". Casual, simple, and yet you still feel your best. My easy chic looks typically incorporate my new favorite pair of flare jeans with a great statement necklace.

sundress & a sweater
I think Spring is one of the most fun times of the year in terms of fashion. After months of layers upon layers and and thick scarves and heavy coats, we're finally seeing light fabrics, florals, and bright colors again. Dressing for spring isn't always easy though - sundresses are on the sales floor but sometimes the temps haven't quite warmed up for this yet. Which is why I'm currently obsessed with throwing a lightweight sweater over a sundress. Or, sweaters with cutoff shorts. The beauty of Spring is getting to mix a little of winter with summer!

Madewell - 30% off goodness!
So yesterday I was at the mall and finished all my Christmas shopping (which, considering it's December 23rd, really isn't that impressive). To reward myself though, I shopped the Madewell 30% off sale and found some new wardrobe faves! 
I love this plum polka-dot skirt because I think it's perfect for work, but so fun to throw a chunky sweater over it for weekend wear! I knew as soon as I laid eyes on this bon voyage sweater, that I had to have it. I'm crazy about cowl necks and this one is so warm and cozy. I had been eyeing these black booties for quite some time now, and considered the 30% off sale a sign that I HAD to get them! The heel height is perfect and I love that they can be dressed up or down.Really, my favorite purchase from yesterday is my new skinny jeans. I don't buy jeans often but when I do, I wear them forever. I fell in love with the fit of these jeans. I also think the wash is perfect and I love that they're distressed, but not too distressed. If you're in the market for a new pair of skinny jeans, I highly recommend these! And ordering them online is a safe bet because they fit true to size.I wanted to get a picture of my new outfit this morning, and of course getting a picture at home without Beau (my puppy) in it is impossible!
