look alikes.
I was at Club Monaco the other day and spotted the most fabulous jumpsuit. It fit so perfectly + was a great way to incorporate the culotte trend, but sometimes I have a hard time convincing myself to spend extra on something that will not last in my closet forever. The good news if you are not in the mood to splurge: I found a look alike on ASOS this morning! They are both a wonderful spring addition to your closet!
long weekend = big sales!
I feel like every retail store uses any and every excuse they can for a sale. Which I'm completely okay with. This weekend in particular, was Valentine's Day, and President's Day tomorrow! I've done a little shopping guide for you of all the amazing sales going on (with some of my favorite pieces included). For the winter sale items: this is the perfect time to grab some adorable sweaters for next Fall or buy that coat you had been eyeing all season. A lot of stores too (LOFT) are doing sales on their new arrivals as well! Happy Shopping!
- LOFT - 50% off select new arrivals, an additional 60% off sale!!
- Madewell - Extra 30% off sale styles with code "AMOUR"
- ASOS - 20% off with the code "PREZDAY20"
- Milk & Honey Boutique - Free shipping with code "BEMINEXO"
- Nordstrom - up to 40% off shoes! No code needed!
Here are a few of my top picks from these sales![show_boutique_widget id="223155"]
cut offs.
There is nothing like a good cut-off short in the summer. I live in them. They can be way chic + way casual AKA they are able to be dressed up or dressed down. On a little L.A. excursion in Venice Beach with my roomie, I found my new favorite pair of frayed denim. One Teaspoon is a smidge more expensive, but knowing I will wear them 5 out of 7 days makes them more of an investment.Reasons why I dig these: 1) They look great with a rad blazer. 2) They look pretty darn awesome with a heeled sandal (tip: go for the shorter heel height to keep it classy). 3) The comfort is sublime. The fabric is super soft. The silhouette is different than the normal straight across cut. (oops...3 in one). Hint: get them one size up to make the short length longer.
white dresses.
I looked into my closet the other day and realized that my favorite color might be white. {how boring...or not?} It sounds so mundane, but after pondering this, I truly believe it is one of the most ideal shades for the types that lean toward neutral hues (me.) or those who love to sport some saturation.How to make white fit into your regime:a. Let's keep it monochromatic, shall we? Pair it with gold gems and a neutral pump {closed toe or open toe}.b. I have been trying to get more into dresses for the beautiful weather ahead. {Tops + bottoms are my comfort zone}. Invest in one this season.c. Pair it with a caged sandal or a feminine flat sandal {here and here}.

happy first day of {spring}
Spring is one of my all-time favorite seasons. It's the perfect time of transition: the weather is sublime, and the switch over from winter boots to pops of color is way too fun. Below are some recent purchases that I can't help but share + keep scrolling to see even more of my loves {aka those trina turk shorts = a forever staple}. Oh! The ASOS dress below is a total winner too, and did I mention it's on sale?? <-- it's ideal for church, a Sunday brunch, or work + it transitions perfectly for an evening dinner. {See all links and more favorites below}
bundle up.
I was laughing this week when I heard a New Yorker comment on the slight warm front that was breezing through the city. What?? To me, The Big Apple accompanied North Pole temps. When my face was almost too frozen to speak after walking three short blocks, I recognized bundling up was a necessity...like layers upon layers + new rules: no holes in jeans, no public exposure without a massive scarf, no texting without gloves. Oh and I needed to live in a bini (and I did).
get cozy and lounge.
Getting a taxi this morning was more than a walk to the side walk; it was a hike through the snow. {welcome to new york}. This unexpected trek inspired me to turn on the fireplace and get as cozy as possible right when I arrived back home. As I am sipping on some hot tea and mentally preparing myself to venture back out into the tundra, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite pieces that will make you super comfy.J Crew sleep shirt/Dreamy Cotton Pant/Sincerely Jules Sweatshirt/Juicy Couture Pullover/ASOS Night Short/ASOS Stripe Sleep Short/'Kate' Slipper/Lavender Heart Sachet/Lavender Neck Pillow
