The Citizenry: Globally Inspired Decor
I remember going to a cozy dinner with The Citizenry team in Malibu last year, and my love for them immediately expanded. Not only are their pieces gorgeous, meaningful and beautifully hand-picked, but their mission aligns so much with mine: Make Your Home a Sanctuary.
They believe that our homes should be a reflection of the journey we take, which I think is the most purposeful perspective on how to design, create, and enjoy the place you reside to the fullest capacity. They travel the world to develop the exclusive collections of home goods - can it get any better? When I started designing our home and as I get older, the more I want everything in it to mean something. There is so much value in that and a basket just isn't a plain basket when it has a story, a purpose, and soul to it.
They partner with master artisans, blending a modern style with their time-tested techniques. As they travel to each country and only use local materials, the relationships have become entirely sustainable. Oh! And what is even better? They set out to celebrate the people behind the products - it is a way to share their stories with you!

boho chic
When people ask me to describe my style, I often use the phrase "boho chic" - not necessarily because that's exactly how I dress, but I think it's what I aspire to! And I feel like this long-sleeved top embodies boho chic perfectly. I love the fit of this top and the open shoulder neckline. I love how it's flattering without being form-fitting.What I love about the boho chic style is that it can be free and flowy and worn with cut-offs or boyfriend jeans. Or, it can also be dressed up for a more clean look (like here, how I paired the top with skinny jeans). Boho chic is feminine yet classy. It's free and creative, yet still put together and fashion-forward.

boho tunic dress
Anything oversized, boho, and less than $50...is just my weakness in life. This tunic dress I'm sharing with you today was one of those items I saw online and before I knew it, it was in my closet without a second thought! 
It's still pretty hot in Dallas so I just paired this with my favorite pair of booties and a classic hobo bag. But what I love about this tunic is that it'll be perfect in the fall with distressed skinny jeans and boots!

wear now, wear later dresses
Confession: I have a really hard time starting to buy all the new cute fall clothes that are coming out when it's 100+ degrees here still in Dallas. Maybe that makes me a procrastinator or not a planner, but I'm not going to buy a faux fur vest in July when I won't be able to wear that until October.BUT at the same time...it's probably not a smart idea to be buying 100 white dresses right now when I won't be able to wear them for too much longer (this year). That's why I felt like this cold-shoulder dress from No Rest for Bridget was such a smart purchase.

I wore this dress last weekend in the heat of July, but also can't wait to wear it once temps cool off with a suede bootie! When I know I'll get a ton of use out of it (plus it's less than $40)...hard to say no to that.

navy boho love
Some online shopping purchases are just easy - say this boho tunic for example that I'm sharing with you today. First of all - the price? Less than $50, yes please. Second of all, it has such a great and easy fit. It's one of those dresses that could be paired with wedges for a wedding shower, or flat sandals for a casual boho look. I'm obsessed with it and have definitely repeated this outfit multiple times already!
the white dress
There are few things in life you can never have enough of. For me, those are nikes, sunglasses, chocolate (obviously), and white dresses. I love a good white dress because it feels so feminine and just embodies summer. White dresses remind me of summer barbecues, pool parties, beach vacations, and margaritas on the patio at sunset. I'm particularly in love with this little off the shoulder dress because I love how boho & feminine it is with the lace detailing. It's also a great price for great quality!

Tuesday Trends: Capes + Vests
With hundreds and hundreds of fashion magazines reporting on hundreds and hundreds of trends for Fall, attempting to find these trends when out shopping can get a bit overwhelming. Lo & I wanted to highlight just two of the trends for Fall that we are loving right now -- capes and vests!I am currently obsessed with vests of all shapes & sizes - the puffer vest, vests for activewear, and am especially loving this long vest I found recently at Anthro! I wore mine casual with booties (side note - these might rival my madewell booties which I'm so in love with), but you could jazz it up with a leather legging as well!
Vest - Anthropologie / Relaxed skinny Jean - LOFT / Cognac Booties - Steve MaddenLo is currently loving capes and how they can double as a blazer. They're perfect for a professional look but also great to pair with a pencil skirt or leather short for going out!
