Greys For Days
I've never been a huge fan of cold weather, but one thing I do love about the winter is this: layering. Check out my grey on grey look below (which also includes the coziest cowl neck sweater for less than $20!) "Coatigan" - Ann Taylor LOFT | Cowl Neck Sweater - Forever 21 | Black ripped skinnies - Nordstrom | Fringe leather booties - Sam Edelman | Necklace - Kendra Scott | Clutch (similar / similar) - Hobo | Ring - Kendra ScottI will be the first to admit, I was hesitant to jump on the "super distressed denim" bandwagon (I think because I'm secretly an old soul, but...). Once I tried on this pair, it was love, and I've been so surprised at how much I can wear them with and how often I wear them! Everyone needs that "go-to" pair of pants, for going out, or a casual date, or running errands.
Essential outerwear
There was a time when a girl needed maybe one or two coats in her Fall wardrobe - one dressy, one casual. Done.I love though that this season, outerwear is a huge trend. It's no longer just a basic item you need to keep you warm - it's an outfit-completer. An essential accessory. So, in this case, your mentality with outerwear this season should be "the more the merrier!"I love this black & white coat below because it's lightweight, super soft, and can easily be dressed up or down. (Side note - I'm also crazy about my new relaxed skinny jeans! Finally found the perfect distressed denim).Black & White Coat - Milk & Honey Boutique / LOFT Relaxed Skinny Jeans / Nine West bootiesI was also in Forever 21 yesterday and fell in love with this tweed pea coat and added it to my mental wish list! (+ you can't beat $42.90 for a good fall coat!)And remember this guy? A good leather (or pleather!) jacket is essential to every fall wardrobe.
a fall essential: coatigans.
Considering the roads are covered in a sheet of ice, us Dallasites are currently locked up in our homes. After finishing my random list of in-home to-dos, such as wrapping all of my Christmas presents, watching nearly all of the Friends episodes, and cooking with my roomie, I naturally found myself daydreaming of coatigans...aka the coat-cardigan. What a brilliant trend collab and an absolute must-have for the chilly months. They never fail to make layering so fun and so chic. Styling tip: pair them with your favorite denim or dresses! Here are my favorites from ASOS:1. Limited Edition Chunky Coatigan 2. Popper Front Coatigan 3. Mixed Fabric Coatigan 4. Esprit Heavy Quilted Coatigan 5. Double Breasted Coatigan 6. Patch Pocket Coatigan
