buxom: lipstick heaven

When it comes to make-up, I am a creature of habit. (Okay when it comes to most things in life, I'm a creature of habit). But especially when it comes to lipstick/lip gloss. I find one I like and pretty much don't change. Let me tell you though, Buxom's new bold gel lipsticks have been a total game-changer for me. The collection (find it here) is available in 30 saturated satin & matte shades. So basically you'll never need to buy another thing of lipstick in your life! These lipsticks are amazing because they don't feel like lipstick. They're made from an ultra-light gel formula and are super moisturizing.I noticed right away when I tried them on that each shade has such a rich color to it. Even the one I'm wearing here (called Naturally Daring) is a neutral/nude color but a very rich nude. Every shade offers a rich, beautiful color.This collection comes in so many shades that you really can wear it everyday. I wore it (as seen above) in a neutral shade, but they have so many other perfect fall lipstick colors that can transform any outfit from "everyday" to fierce and bold (Like Sultry Mauve or Ruby Temptress!)

beauty trend: nude lips.

I am such a fan of a beauty trend that makes your eyes pop while your lips take a back seat {in neutral, though}. Take note: this doesn't mean your lips won't look beautiful because trust me, I am a lipstick/lip gloss/lip crayon junkie! In fact, the lip carries the trend. The big spring look is a nude lip. It is so chic, it pairs beautifully with a night-time smoky eye, and it looks stunning with a little bronzer and mascara during the day.Some tips:For those of you that have lighter to medium skin tones, a pale pink nude color will be the best bet. Top it off with this lip gloss in 'Nude Pink.'For those of you that have medium to dark skin tones, a creamy nude shade will fit you best. I just bought this, and I am so excited to try it out. Other nude shades in this lipstick are available and fitting to any complexion color.How to apply:1. When you are applying your foundation, include the lip to tone down it's natural shade. {or you can use your concealer for this step}.2. Line the perimeter of your lip with a nude lip liner. <--Color suggestion: 'Naked Liner.'3. Fill in the entire lip with you nude lipstick or crayon. {several options below}.4. Ever since the "heart fairy" covered my bedroom floor with colorful candy hearts when I was little, Valentine's Day has always been one of my favorite days in the world. What's better than twenty four hours dedicated to celebrating love? I know some people are resentful toward this holiday, but even if you are not in love, there are so many ways to make this date so enjoyable! Ideas: make cute heart shaped pancakes for your roomies, fill your home with beautiful flowers, or send your friend an adorable valentine telling them how much they mean to you!
