cactus love
This summer I have developed a major love for anything and everything related to cacti: succulents, the cactus emoji...I just think they are so adorable. Because of my current cactus crush, I instantly fell in love with this cactus-print dress. Not only is the print bright and so summery, but you can actually wear it in this 100+ degree Texas heat and survive! I wore it to brunch on Saturday at Saint Ann in Dallas...and we ate outside!

denim + tassels
Two things in the fashion world I have a difficult time ever saying no to: a denim dress, and anything involving neon pink. I bought this dress + scarf on separate occasions but actually love them together! This scarf is super lightweight and goes with way more than I thought it would! Here's the great thing about denim dresses: you can wear them everywhere. They can be office-appropriate or "Saturday at the park"-appropriate. They are perfect for traveling, great to wear to a wedding shower. I think every girl needs one in her wardrobe!

dresses that twirl
Maybe I am secretly still a 5 year old little girl, but I am such a sucker for dresses that "twirl". How perfect is this little blush off the shoulder dress for spring and summer weddings (bonus: it's less than $50!)? I love how feminine and romantic it is, yet so comfortable! I also love that you could easily pair it with flat sandals for a casual daywear look.

blush crush
Everyone has their go-to color. What they feel their best in, what they always gravitate towards when shopping. Mine is blush pink. I love how feminine and elegant it is. I also think it's a great color for a variety of skin tones!
Dress: Topshop | Pink mini bucket bag: c/o Rebecca Minkoff | Opal ring: c/o Kendra Scott | Booties: riffraff (sold out: almost exact pair here) | Earrings: Baublebar | Lip color: Dior (color: 223)
I love this blush pink crochet dress (which just went on sale!) because it's so versatile. It can be dressed up with nude heels for Easter Sunday or summer tea, or you could pair it with boyfriend jeans and strappy sandals for a more boho look. It feels so girly yet still chic, which is my favorite.

spring is coming, spring is coming!
Okay, so I love layering and flannel and blanket scarves and starbucks red cups as much as the next girl. But every January/February I get SO excited when stores start putting on their Spring arrivals! It makes me so anxious for spring break and beach trips and laying in the sun.
Pastel Pink Sweater: Gap | Rose gold ring: Baublebar | Denim Cutoffs: MINKPINK @ Nordstrom | Booties: Madewell
In Texas, you really never know if it's picnic weather or a total ice storm in January. I love days like today though where it's sunny and 70 and perfect to start mixing that winter wardrobe with new spring arrivals. Maybe Spring weather hits your part of the country a little later than January, but regardless...I love mixing sweaters with cutoffs, tank tops with light trench coats, etc. I've put together a little shopping guide for you of some of my favorite Spring arrivals from lots of different sites! Enjoy! (Also, today everything from LOFT is 40% off! They've got some great new arrivals!)[show_boutique_widget id="217020"]
beauty of branching out
I like to think of myself as a fairly practical person, which very much plays itself out in my wardrobe. I tend to migrate towards pieces that I can wear everyday, that are versatile, that I can wear both to church and on date night (follow me on instagram, and you'll see I'm obsessed with neutrals + anything oversized). The look below though, is an exception to my comfort zone staples. When I first saw this bright pink skirt, I thought it was so fun but so not my typical look. Once I had it on though, I fell in love, because practicality can only take you so far. Everyone needs their go-to look for their own birthday dinner, their best friend's bachelorette party or a trendy date night out. Sometimes I have to force myself to put down the boyfriend jeans, and branch out! Shop my look: Balmain girl jacket - Milk & Honey Boutique. Pink A-line skirt - Milk and Honey Boutique. Madewell suede booties. Michael Kors leather watchI had such a blast walking around the Bishops Arts district in Dallas with the oh-so-talented Lindsey Shea in this bright pink A-line skirt that I paired with my favorite leather jacket for the Fall season. This jacket is great because it's light weight and can either be dressed up or down. It will pair great with any piece in your wardrobe!I dressed this look down a bit with my favorite Madewell booties, since it was during the day and we were just walking around town. But a great pair of strappy heels (like these, by Dolce Vita - see them below on Lo!) would complete this outfit perfectly. What about you?
