Ragdoll LA
I am just going to lay it all out there - I live for sweats, cozy tees, and oversized sweatshirts. My parents literally had to limit my sweat pant purchases growing up because I seemed to fall in love with every pair I saw. Even to this day, when I walk through our front door, I am in comfy clothes faster than anything, with a candle lit and a cup of Sakara tea by my side. With all of this said, my excitement when relaxing ensembles were deemed appropriate for public appearance was on another level.I love when random decisions turn into the best realizations. My parents were in town last month, and we ran into Kreation on 3rd Street for a juice and popped into a store called Ragdoll. My mom and I were immediately lost in the effortless essentials - the vintage sweatshirts, the most perfect puffy sweaters, and the casual tees. The lovely founder and designer, Lisa Larson, came out for a quick visit, which made me feel even more appreciation for the brand.I have so much respect for family owned businesses, and I love Lisa's story and how she describes her brand : "Just like me, Ragdoll is a mix of European chic and slouchy Los Angeles lifestyle. From LA I like the very casual way you dress, and from Europe I love the aesthetic and colors. I'm a Ragdoll. I like to dressy classy with a touch of sexy, vintage, and rock 'n' roll."I couldn't help but leave the store with two sweatsuits; the blush pink sweatshirt and track pants might be my favorite, and I couldn't leave without the classic black sweats and coordinating pullover. They are perfect for travel days, running errands around bustling LA, and they are oh so perfect for a cozy night in lounging on the couch with takeout food watching This Is Us.

ily couture
Pajamas all day tee | Sweatpants | Glasses | White + gold mug | Laptop caseOne of my favorite things about blogging has been getting discover and work with new slash amazing brands. I fell in love with ILY Couture a few months back and find myself more obsessed with them with every new addition to their site! wifey tee | scarf | sunnies (get your first month FREE with code "laurenkaysims") | boyfriend jeans | booties | fringe cross body bagI'll be real with ya'll. More often than not, I am just not in the mood to dress up. But unfortunately wearing pajamas to run errands isn't necessarily acceptable. I love ILY Couture because their tees are not only extremely soft and comfortable, but they're still chic at the same time. I love that I can sleep in these tees if I want to, but also pair it with a scarf or one of their super chic sunnies and have a really put together look.Another reason the ILY Couture website is quickly becoming a go-to shopping spot for me is the price point. Seriously these sunnies look so high end and are $22?! I'm all about that. Their tees are great quality and actually don't fall apart in the wash, yet for a price that won't break the bank!

a new love for tees: I blame anine bing.
You guys. Some days, I just don't feel like being chic. My mind sometimes can't muster up the energy to figure out how to conquer that goal. Yes, I know work out gear has turned iconically fierce in the style department the last few years, but if I am in the beach-day, no makeup, cut-off short kind of mood, what is there to do?At last, I found an answer by accident when I was taking an online shopping excursion. I was scrolling through Anine Bing and found myself adding way too many tees to my "wish list" folder. They are so cozy + so chic. Dress them up or down with a great pair of denim or a summer short. Easy as that! xoxo [show_shopthepost_widget id="861323"]
between seasons: best basics.
Who else gets entirely enticed when spring editorials start hitting your gmail? (my creative favorites// ShopBop and Barneys). The ambiance of winter is totally exciting for a quick second, but the warm weather fashion eventually makes you wish for change. So...to make those transition months way more appealing, purchase a few sweaters, shirts, and tees that you will adore + will carry you over to the next season. Here are some of my go-to favorites. The all look great under a warm jacket, over a stellar pair of jeans paired a beanie, or with office-appropriate pants and a fabulous pump.
