hello, sunshine
Don't you love when you're shopping, and all the sudden something stops you dead in your tracks? One of those things you don't even need to try on. You just know, it's your dress version of a soulmate. That is exactly how I felt about this yellow babydoll dress I'm sharing with ya'll today! Reasons why I fell in love with it:
- The color. So bright & fun & perfect for summer! Also a great color to show off your tan in
- The shape - conservative, yet really feminine and flattering
- SO versatile! This dress is perfect for a summer wedding, date nights, wedding showers...I'm pretty sure I will be living in it.

the white dress
There are few things in life you can never have enough of. For me, those are nikes, sunglasses, chocolate (obviously), and white dresses. I love a good white dress because it feels so feminine and just embodies summer. White dresses remind me of summer barbecues, pool parties, beach vacations, and margaritas on the patio at sunset. I'm particularly in love with this little off the shoulder dress because I love how boho & feminine it is with the lace detailing. It's also a great price for great quality!

easy chic
I think the word "chic" can be slightly overwhelming and intimidating. We think "chic" means a pair of Jimmy Choo stilettos or a bold red lip color. One of my favorite styles right now though is what I like to call "easy chic". Casual, simple, and yet you still feel your best. My easy chic looks typically incorporate my new favorite pair of flare jeans with a great statement necklace. blush crush
Everyone has their go-to color. What they feel their best in, what they always gravitate towards when shopping. Mine is blush pink. I love how feminine and elegant it is. I also think it's a great color for a variety of skin tones!
Dress: Topshop | Pink mini bucket bag: c/o Rebecca Minkoff | Opal ring: c/o Kendra Scott | Booties: riffraff (sold out: almost exact pair here) | Earrings: Baublebar | Lip color: Dior (color: 223)
I love this blush pink crochet dress (which just went on sale!) because it's so versatile. It can be dressed up with nude heels for Easter Sunday or summer tea, or you could pair it with boyfriend jeans and strappy sandals for a more boho look. It feels so girly yet still chic, which is my favorite.

dressed up, with a side of fun
One of my biggest struggles when it comes to fashion is knowing what to wearing to a dressier, yet trendy event. You want to look professional and put together, but not boring. The look I'm sharing with ya'll today is just that! I love a good high waisted pant paired with a crop top (+ I actually rolled my top a little to accentuate the "crop", but it could be longer!). Also, leopard heels make everything more fun!

Day to Dinner
Ever since I've worked in fashion (which has been about 8yrs now), the expression "day to dinner" has been such a buzz phrase. The older I've gotten though, the more I realize how important it is to have some great day to dinner pieces in your wardrobe! In case you haven't heard this phrase...what it means is that you're able to wear an outfit to work that transitions seamlessly to dinner that night - whether it be happy hour with girlfriends or a date night with your man. It's a look that's "work appropriate" but still fun/trendy enough to let you go to dinner that night in style!
Cape/Vest | Charcoal Dress | Over the Knee Boots (similar version) | Clutch (same shape, different color) | Earrings | Necklace
Some stores that I think offer great options for this look: LOFT, J. Crew, Banana Republic, and of course Nordstrom. This look featured here is perfect for "day to dinner" because it can be professional (not too much skin showing, classy charcoal + black color combo), but the body contour dress and trendy cape-like vest make this a fun going out outfit as well! And I love that you could wear both of these pieces separately and in so many different ways.Shop my outfit here!:[show_shopthepost_widget id="490616"]Photos by Melanie Foster

Trend Alert! Fierce Fedoras
If you followed our fashion frenzy from New York, you may have noticed that fedoras are a huge item for Fall 2013. This is definitely a must have for the season. I particularly loved the modern trend at Trina Turk's sleek chic presentation at Lincoln Center and the hats spotted on the runway with a raiding your boyfriend's closet vibe at Nicole Miller. Okay, are you dying for this accessory? Never fear, we have your back. You can purchase a fierce felt fedora from Topshop here.

Snakeskin: So Fierce!
Animal prints are strong this season, so why not accessorize with them? A hint here or there can make for a fashion forward look…which brings me to snakeskin, one of our favorite prints. While snakeskin is seen in several colors, sometimes finding the more natural tones are easier to wear. The key to looking chic with the print: don't over do it. Choose one item to accessorize with at a time. We have picked a belt, clutch and bold pair of shoes to accessorize with this fall!Topshop Faux Snakeskin Belt; Steven Madden Wedges; MICHAEL Michael Kors Clutch
