The New Revlon ColorStay™ Eye Collection and Kiss™ Balm

1Check out these amazing new ColorStay ™ Eye Collection products, and the Revlon Kiss™ Balm while you are at it! The Revlon Kiss™ Balm keep your lips super hydrated and kissable as we move from fall into the cool temps. What I love most about the Kiss™ Balm: it is filled with SPF 20 and the hydrating formula is infused with natural fruit oils.I have never been a big cake-on-makeup kind of girl. I love the beach vibe, all natural kind of glow, so my daily makeup routine reflects just that - a little on the eyes, a touch of sunscreen-filled foundation, and a bit on the lips. My top priority, though, I must admit, is a good brow + popping the eye in the most natural sense.2016_10_28_lolomag5-314-edit2016_10_28_lolomag5-262-editI can't get enough of the Revlon ColorStay™ Eye Collection. The ColorStay™ Brow Pencil is longwearing and waterproof (yes, please!) + it has the most perfect blending spoolie brush. The unique angled tip allows for fast and easy brow definition, too.1The ColorStay 2-in- 1 Angled Kajal™ Liner makes the smoky liner application oh so easy and oh so natural with the angled liner and the brush used for blending. Did I mention it’s waterproof? So. Much. Love.2016_10_28_lolomag5-331-editTo make the set even better, the ColorStay™ Crème Eye Shadow is waterproof and lasts up to 24 hours. No joke. My favorite colors are the Praline (for a natural, bronzy look) and the Cherry Blossom for a blush tone. Not to mention, these are so easily blendable! It stays! The brilliance of it all: there is a brush built into the cap for fast, easy, and mess-free application. This post is sponsored by Revlon through their partnership with POPSUGAR Select. melissa's minimal makeup routine

minimal makeup routine | lolo magazine

Keeping my makeup minimal, simple, natural looking, and safe is something that I am always striving for. I currently have a quick and easy everyday routine that is working really well, so I wanted to share it with you. Details on the products that I use are below // xo melissa

--

concealer- it's taken me a while to find a blemish + under-eye concealer that worked well, but wasn't packed with harmful ingredients + wouldn't cause my chin/nose to break out. I finally came across this one from bareMinerals and it's awesome. The formula is light enough that it doesn't clog my pores, but it still covers blemishes and under-eye circles.

mascara- this mascara from bareMinerals is my current go-to for day and night. It lengthens, looks natural, and doesn't smudge or run.

brow- I use this everyday and cannot imagine my brows without glossier's boy brow. Brows still look still look very natural after filling them in with this product, which is so important. No one wants fake looking brows!

powder- I don't use this daily, but when I want more of a "finished" look I lightly brush on this powder from beautycounter.

bronzer- volition sent me and Lauren a few of their products to test out and I immediately fell in love with this creamy bronzer. It blends right in and gives my skin a natural, healthy glow. c/o

Clean Skin Care: Goop.

Goop is my hero. A few months ago after much research, I felt the need to rid our home of all toxic products, everything from skin care to cleaning solutions. It was a tough move to throw out slightly used products that are said to be ultra-productive, but after I trashed all of the paraben and sulfate-filled items, it was the best feeling in the world.clean skin care: goop | lolo magazineI know that pure-ingredient filled skincare has a bad reputation - it's not effective, it clogs pores, it doesn't smell good, and the list goes on. Goop proves these statements completely wrong. The Luminous Melting Cleanser and Exfoliating Instant Facial are my new secret to glowing skin. To top it off, I conclude that in-shower treatment with the Enriching Face Oil and the Revitalizing Day Moisturizer. These products have made me excited to take care of my skin! What are your favorite healthy skin products?*thank you goop for these products![show_shopthepost_widget id="1993463"]

silk sleep mask from slip

silk sleep mask by slip | lolo magazine

We have shared our love for slip here on the mag before, but today we are really sharing our love for the silk pillowcase company. Lo and I both sleep on silk pillowcases from slip and will never think of trying another pillowcase again. Slip's pillowcases make your hair and face look like you just got the best night of sleep ever, minus the skin wrinkles and severe bedhead.

When we saw that slip also makes sleep masks, we knew that we needed to try them. Side note- if you don’t sleep with a sleep mask already, give it a try. It really helps me to get into a deep sleep and I am now really attached to it- I can’t sleep without one! Slip was so sweet and sent us both a sleep mask to try (Lo chose this color and I chose this one) and yet again, I will never consider another brand. Not only is it gorgeous, but the silk feels so nice on my face, the design is extremely comfortable, and it completely blocks out any hint of light that is in the room. Here is a link to slip’s site to get the full brand experience, but their products are also available at Nordstrom.

Revlon: Glow on the Go

2016_08_22_lolomag3-95-edit2016_08_22_lolomag3-35-edit Working from home has a lot of perks, but it also tends to create an even busier schedule as errands pile up and brand meetings and blogger lunches seem to fill up the days quite quickly. What has been a complete life saver for me is my Revlon PhotoReady Insta-Fix™ Highlighting Stick. It gives an instantly retouched look when you need a little mid-day refresher, and the magic is in a mistake-proof stick (party emoji!). It is one of those, lightweight pull-out-of-your-purse-easy-application type products. You can use the stick to highlight your cheekbones, cupids bow, eyebrow, the corner of your eye, and your collarbone. I feel like we all need more of these in our lives! Agreed?2016_08_22_lolomag3-38-edit2016_08_22_LoLoMag3-41-Edit2016_08_22_LoLoMag3-65-EditP.S. Two color options are available. The Pink Light is optimal for light to medium skin tones, and the Gold Light is a peachy shade that is optimal for medium to deep skin tones. The one that looks best on  my skin is the Gold Light.Three loves of this product:

  1. The PhotoReady Insta-Fix™ Highlighting stick is mistake proof.
  2. It is easy to use!
  3. It enhances your best features even on the go!

I am so excited to hear what you think about these products! I would love to hear your comments below! This post is sponsored by Revlon through their partnership with POPSUGAR Select.  While I was compensated to write a post about Revlon, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Lo's outfit : plaid bomber (also available @ anthro) | pants | shoes | sunnies

Last week I was so inspired by an interview on the Today Show with Alicia Keys. Here is a link to one segment with Tamryn Hall, but she also had a conversation with Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie. In both conversations, Alicia Keys spoke about her love for going make-up free and embracing her true self. I was immediately captivated, as I have recently started wearing less makeup and really digging deep, turning my focus inwards and deciding to truly love and celebrate what makes me, me, instead of trying to conform to the standards that are out there. Now of course if wearing makeup brings you joy and makes you feel like the best version of yourself, then go for it, girl! As Alicia Keys mentioned, the main point is just discovering what makes you feel like your "most true, authentic self" and owning that, loving that, and conveying that through your life and to the world. Amen to that! What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments below.
