thoughts// it’s been awhile
it’s been a WILD summer! and in fact, a wild year. since having ryver, our team shifted our focus from all things pregnancy and maternity leave–to another EXCITING PROJECT that came to fruition just a month ago (more on that in a second). we took an intentional break from our usual blog updates and before we knew it, we realized it has been a few months since we’ve written a post or updated this space.
WITH A NEW SEASON underway and some pretty big accomplishments under our belt–we’re returning to this space in hopes to continue to update it with content that inspires wholeness, health, and joy.
as i write this post, i’m so inspired by THE MISSION that we set out to accomplish when we initially started this website–truly, ages ago! the mission statement is this:
“lifestyle ROOTED IN BALANCE. a space dedicated to wholeness, health, and joy. lsk exists to empower, equip and educate others on their journey to clean living, wherever they might be.”
i’ve realized how this has truly become my life motto and has shown itself in a variety of different ways over the years.
2011// i began pursuing holistic health as a means to recovery from my accident in 2011
2014// my ingredient research led me to launch a non-toxic dry shampoo company called stranded with my best friend. i also got married and moved to the city of all things health and wellness, los angeles
2018// i compiled all i knew on clean living into a daily guide called the clean sweep
2021// i relaunched this space and rewrote and relaunched the clean sweep into two volumes
all along the way, i’ve loved having the opportunity to share every bit of what i know with you all–whether it be in this space or via social media. it has truly been such a privilege and so much fun to create a community of INDIVIDUALS and FAMILIES who are also interested in pursuing clean living.
throughout this journey, there has been another common thread that many of you might know about; my company, STRANDED. what initially started out as a dry shampoo company with my best friend evolved into a full-blown business (with my best friend, twin sister, brother in law, and other irreplaceable additions to the team) where we’ve been using the past five years to develop custom, unique, clean formulas from scratch.
throughout the FIVE YEAR process, we experienced a number of setbacks from covid to production delays, ingredient shortages, and the list goes on–but it has truly been a labor of love and such a passion of mine to develop these incredible non-toxic products.
in the midst of developing these products, we went back and forth on whether or not to launch an entirely new company or to keep with the one that was already experiencing so much love and success thanks to the many of you that have enjoyed and supported the dry shampoo. we ultimately decided to keep the products under the same name and REBRANDED and RELAUNCHED the company last month in august of 2022.
and now you have it–STRANDED, a new wave of clean care.
our first product of many products to come in a line of clean care essentials is the HAND SANITZING LOTION: a unique formula of hyaluronic acid, nature-derived moisturizers, and essential oils that completely sanitize your hands while leaving them moisturized & clean, and packaged in an earth-conscious container.
as always, you can count on any product i promote or create to include non-toxic, clean ingredients, and this is no different.
we developed this product with you in mind, and hand-selected every ingredient to add benefits to your ROUTINE and your IMMUNITY.
the dry shampoo is also still available, but we are currently reformulating the ingredients to be entirely clean and updating the label to match our new branding.
in the meantime, we’re continuing to grow and expand as a business! we’re learning and adapting and making changes and still developing, and we’re excited. we are working on more products to get in your hands as we continue to develop one-of-a-kind formulas that you will love.
i hope you love these products as much as we do! and i hope you enjoy following along with the story. i am so grateful to those of you who have taken so much interest in this journey, and above all–i hope you continue to find that this space and all that i create adds wholeness, health, and joy into your life.
