IVF PREP
covering all topics clean living as we prepare for the launch of the clean sweep, volume two: products// may 11
as you all know, HOLISTIC CARE is a key foundation in my life. our team has been working hard on the launch of the second volume of the clean sweep, my daily guide to clean living. this has been such a process in the making, but so rewarding and a dream come true. we’re so excited to announce that the clean sweep, volume two: products will be launching in just a few short weeks on may 11 and both volumes will be available in beautiful print copies that you can include in your home. as we near the launch, we’ll be transitioning our focus on the blog from the home, which has been such a fun aspect to share, to clean living.
(SIDE NOTE): the clean sweep releasing in print is just such a fun way that we’re tying in my love for the home with clean living. i can’t wait to see these beautiful print copies fit on your coffee tables or sit snug in your shelves.
OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS, i’ll share about a variety of clean living topics, including the care of your wellness, but also your home, beauty, animals, cherished items and more. clean living is such a holistic topic–it truly affects every area of your life, and it has been so fun to share with you just how much it is incorporated into mine, in hopes that you too can incorporate it into yours.
to start off our clean living focus, i wanted to share about a journey i’ve been getting so many questions about recently, the ivf process. after several years taking a pure holistic approach, including trying herbs, acupuncture, mental rest and all of the things, jase and i started praying for next best steps. we both are so grateful and content in our life, which has been so helpful in trying to get pregnant // it truly has been so fun and relaxed even amidst the struggle to actually have a baby. we do not believe a baby will fill a lack but rather will add even greater joy!
we fully trust that god’s timing is so incredibly perfect for the baby and for us, and this sincere belief has met this process with so much joy. we both felt the most insane peace about moving forward with ivf, and a wise woman in my life reminded me of the truth that peace is the next step. it was so clear to both jase and i, and to cover all of the bases before starting the process, we worked with dr. marynick and dr. correa in dallas. they are complete fertility ogs and are the most thorough i have seen in their practice. they investigate every potential cause of infertility, including the sperm! they provided us with so many answers and an action plan; i just could not speak more highly of both of them. he recommended us to dr. marrs in los angeles, and he is equally as thorough and wonderful with the most calming and encouraging bedside manner.
i feel as though a huge part of preparing for ivf is a calm and peaceful outlook and mind. in addition to this, i have three friends who have experienced ivf recently (even some are just a few weeks ahead of me), and it has been so wonderful to have this small and sweet ivf community where no filter is needed in our conversations. it is so comforting to check in on each other consistently and it makes the process seem so connected. also, my twin sister and i are ivf babies, so i heard about the process from my mom even though it has changed a lot since then! fun fact: they were the first couples to do one of the first methods of ivf.
ANOTHER KEY: jase has made me feel so cared for and loved in this process. at home, i feel like i haven’t been alone in this process. he drives me to every appointment, has cared for me so well, and i love that we can celebrate together in every step. it has been so sweet and has bonded us in an even deeper way.
this may seem silly to some, but for me, doing zero research online has been the biggest blessing for me. it leaves out any fear, uncertainty, or anxiety. it has truly made the process so magical. we didn’t even know the waiting period of finding out healthy embryos post retrieval. it’s kind of funny, but it has made everything even more smooth sailing and every announcement so exciting! we are so confident in the next steps that the doctor tells us and that is all we needed to know.
i didn’t even know what was in each shot going into my body, but i loved it that way because every time the substance entered into my system, i could pray in full gratefulness that it would help my body do what it is supposed to do during this time.
IN REGARDS TO CLEAN LIVING, i didn’t change much in my life. i have continued eating whole foods, lots of veggies, consuming very little alcohol and eating no sugar. i also added a prenatal to my supplement regimen; i started with the one from pure synergy, and i have absolutely loved it.
wishing all of you who are going through or will go through ivf so much peace and hope! perspective is everything in this process – remember what a gift it is that we are given this opportunity! it is so humbling. also, give yourself grace. feel what you need to feel and except it and love yourself through it. our experiences in life create us even further into who we are as a person; take it all in and delight in each step.
