THE GUEST ROOMS

join us as we take a deep dive into every room of lauren’s home, all exclusively featured first on the home tour (watch here)

one of my biggest desires in our house when designing was to make people feel completely at home when they come to visit or stay. this is exhibited through cozy robes in each closet to all shower products stocked and ready. and of course, crisp clean sheets and towels in each room.

GUEST ROOMS WITH A SENSE OF HOME

our home has three guest rooms total for right now, which is a dream come true for jase and i who consider our friends here in la to be like family. there are two rooms on the main level, one of which we envision being a nursery sometime soon, and the other which will remain guest room along with the one upstairs. each room includes an additional bathroom which is also such a dream.

in the first downstairs room, the room where we imagine our future nursery being, we utilized pieces from our old house, such as the restoration hardware bed (the first bed i ever purchased!) and even the artwork and the accent chair.

the second downstairs room is what we call the sneak out room, which has an additional entry to the backyard. jase and i always joke that this would be the perfect room for a teenager who would want to sneak out. this includes some fun pieces that you won’t find elsewhere in the house like a rattan bed frame and a more wild tile choice in the bathroom.

the upstairs guest room is where most people stay when they visit. this was a hard room to fill because it’s so large, but we furnished it with pieces from our old home and a daybed from dear keaton that makes the room so cozy and welcoming for whoever stays there.

the guest rooms were such fun spaces to create for others and a great way for us to incorporate old investment pieces from our previous home. things like our previous bed frames, mattresses, chairs, and pictures, all of which didn’t quite mesh with the flow of the house from the entry to the living room, fit perfectly in the guest rooms to make the spaces feel like home.
