CLEAN GAS WITH PROPANE
jase and i are currently in the process of building a home in idaho. we sold our house there last year and are so excited to have this creative project ahead. as you all probably know, i am big about generating the cleanest home possible, and one of the main ways we plan to do that is by using propane as our non-toxic energy source. it is safe to use anywhere and will not contaminate soil or groundwater.
DID YOU KNOW?
i have been learning extensively about propane, and i had no idea until recently that it is clean and environmentally friendly. it actually produces fewer greenhouse emissions than electricity.
FOR APPLIANCES
using propane appliances in your home can help reduce your carbon footprint. they are more energy-efficient, so you can actually save on monthly energy costs.
IT IS RELIABLE
propane is a reliable energy source. it is portable and can be stored on the site of your home which means you can always have access no matter if there is severe weather or power interruptions.
we plan to use propane in our heating system, fireplaces, ranges, stoves, our outdoor kitchen as well as the outdoor firepit.
in idaho, one of my favorite things is lighting the fireplace even during the day. the air can get so crisp and cool, so it is so cozy. another fun fact i learned: propane fireplaces provide six times the heating capacity of wood-burning models, so there is no soot or ash to clean up, and no firewood to store. such a win!
we are so excited to have propane in our home; it will not only be incredibly efficient but also super cozy and will have a positive environmental impact.
as we’ve been in the midst of the building process, we plan on including clean propane gas in different areas of our home. below are the blueprints where you can see where we’ll use the gas in our kitchen and our living room.
