Workout Plus Lounge

collection_sport_fall2016_01.jpg

Do you guys find yourself using workout clothes as lounge clothes, too? We do and we kind of love it. Clothes that function as workout plus lounge are so convenient. I find myself often being around the house in workout clothes, feeling comfortable, getting chores done, and then just heading out the door to the yoga studio or gym. On the way home, running to Whole Foods or picking up dry cleaning is no big deal, either. Versatility, comfort, style, and performance are all so important to us when it comes to workout clothes, since they serve more than one purpose. The active line from lou & grey, zella, alo yoga, lanston sport, outdoor voices, abercrombie's active line, and lululemon are a few amazing places to get workout clothes that are functional and chic. Scroll down for a list of a few favorite pieces // xo

appropriate loungewear

So, I'll be straight with you guys: this post is going to show you a little tiny window into my soul. An addiction that some would say is unhealthy or obsessive. And I just say, it's necessary. I, Lauren Sims, am addicted to comfy pajamas. And I pride myself on the collection that I have built.I'm not a fan of just any comfy pajamas though. I've found adorable comfy pj's at Target before (not hating, just saying) that looked great on the hanger, and then I slept in them one time and they were a wrinkled disaster after that. No thanks. Or I washed them one and they shrunk up about two sizes.Michael and I recently went to the lake for the weekend with a group of our friends. My biggest struggle in packing for these trips is: "what will I bring to sleep/lounge around in?!" Obviously I want to be comfortable, yet still cute, yet appropriate all at the same time.Enter: eberjey. My #1 favorite pajama brand slash obsession. I'll be honest, this price point is more than what I was used to spending at say, Target or something. But ya'll I live in these pajamas. They are comfortable and light enough to sleep in, but appropriate enough to wear in front of friends or on a lake weekend.

If you feel like this price point is a little high for you, I've recently fell in love with Kensie pj sets. This one I wore at the lake is less than $50 for the set! The tank is super soft and the shorts are a great length.loungewear-setsKensie tank & shorts set

Another brand of appropriate loungewear that's super budget friendly is Honeydew Intimates. They have both matching PJ sets and loungewear for great prices!

the art of "cozy chic"

I couldn't help but notice, scrolling through my Instagram feed recently, that everyone & their mom seem to be somewhere snowy and beautiful right now. Either on a ski trip or cozied up in a cabin somewhere. While I can't be too jealous because my ski trip is coming up in February!, it made me realize the importance of having clothes that are not just comfortable, but that you still feel cute in.So, whether you're going to the mountains over spring break, or have decided you just don't feel the cutest in your size XL sweatpants and older brother's shirt...I've rounded up some of my favorite "comfy chic" pieces from Anthro & Lou & Grey because I think they are the masters at this look!FullSizeRender-3 Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset
