Hey Men! Get the 'General Idea' of Fashion

Hey guys! It's about time you got a little fashion insight…the ladies have been hogging it all. Well, I have some news for you, thanks to the brilliant General Idea show this morning at New York Fashion Week. I certainly understand the inspiration clause for this bright-hued collection: the boys of the beach. The designer clearly put his bold foot forward with this prep-tastic menswear line illusioned after the high society oasis of St. Tropez.[galleryview id= 56]Displaying the perfect mix of luxury and leisure, the array of nautical stripes and checkered patterns makes that transition from day to night easy as a button. A primary blue and green palette created a prevalent wave of classic pieces, that were fresh, charming, and sophisticated. Not to mention, every look was precisely tailored, with some hints of trendsetting patchwork. The stand out additions: platform Sperry-esque topsiders, cable knit shorts (who said this fabric doesn't work in the spring?), and of course the nearly neon multi-colored polyester jackets.
